16 organisations get accreditation certificates

DHAKA, Jan 31, 2019 (BSS) – Sixteen national and multinational laboratories
and inspection organisations today received accreditation certificate from
Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) as part of the organisation’s process to
strengthen the country’s position in export business.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the certificates
to the representatives of the laboratories and inspection organisations at a
programme organised by BAB in the city, said a press release.

The 16 laboratories and inspection organisations are- Mega Project, 24
Engineering Construction BD Testing Laboratory of Bangladesh Army for
controlling the standard of the construction materials of Padma Multipurpose
Bridge and Highway, Bangladesh Research and Testing Laboratory and Bangladesh
Material Testing Laboratory, Calibration Laboratory for the machineries of
the Biman Bangladesh, National Metrology Laboratory for the BSTI, Pathology
Laboratory for the Lab Aid, PRAN Beverage Laboratory, NUSDAT-UTS of the
Walton Hi-Tech Industries, TAHA GIYIM of the Garments Testing Laboratory,
National Control Laboratory of the Drug Administration Department, Pathology
Laboratory of the United Hospital, Calibration Laboratory of the SGS
Bangladesh Limited, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (Bangladesh)
Limited, ITS Bangladesh Limited, Fish Inspection and Quality Control (FIQC)
Dhaka Laboratory and Analytical Chemistry Laboratory.
