13 held in Habiganj
HABIGANJ, Jan 26, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in regular drives arrested 13
persons including six wanted accused and three drug traders from different
areas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 9am this morning.
Law enforcers also recovered nine liters of locally made liquor and 200
pieces of Yaba tablets during the drives.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nazim Uddin said, they were picked
up from different areas of the district on different charges.
Acting on secret information, a team of DB police of Habiganj arrested two
drug traders with 200 pieces of Yaba tablets from Baghasura Village in
Madhapur upazila last night, said DB official.
In another drive, on secret information Shaistaganj Thana police arrested
a drug trader with nine liters of locally made liquor from the upazila last
night, police said.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending
with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources
added.
The arrested were sent to jail.
