Journalist leader Altaf Mahmud’s 2nd death anniversary Jan 24
DHAKA, Jan 22, 2018 (BSS) -Different journalist organizations will observe 2nd death anniversary of journalist leader Altaf Mahmud amid holding of different programmes on Wednesday.
The programmes include offering milad mahfil and discussion at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) on the day.
Altaf Mahmud was the deputy editor of the Bangla daily Destiny and the president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and he was a permanent member of the Jatiya Press Club(JPC).
He died on January 2016 at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) will hold a discussion meeting on Wednesday in observance of his death anniversary at the Hall Room of JPC’s third floor at 11 am, said a press release.
BFUJ Secretary General Omar Faruk requested all members and well-wishers to attend the programme timely, the release added.
