600 cold-stricken people get blankets in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Jan 24, 2019 (BSS) – Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) today distributed 600 blankets among the cold-stricken destitute people at a function held on RCCI Public School and College ground in the city.
The RCCI jointly with Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry distributed the blankets among the cold-affected people under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.
President of RCCI Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu with other Directors and officials of the organisation distributed the blankets in the second phase today and to be followed by distribution of the same in the third phases this season.
In the function, Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu urged affluent people, trade, charity and voluntary organisations, banks and other financial institutions to distribute warm clothes among the cold-hit people of Rangpur region to stand beside them.
Senior Vice-president of RCCI Mostoba Hossain Ripon, its Directors Partho Bose, Habibur Rahman Raja, Ajay Prasad Babon, Obaidur Rahman Ratan, Zulfiqar Aziz Khan, Pronoy Banik, Shahjahan Babu and Khemchand Somani Rabi, general Members Morsheda Begum, Dipendranath Sharma and Secretary Dr Md Reza-un-Nabi Noor were present.
Earlier on Tuesday, the RCCI distributed 500 more blankets among the cold-stricken poor and distressed people on the same venue here to mitigate their sufferings.
