DHAKA, Jan 24, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave
financial assistance of Taka 1.26 crore to six persons, including the wife of
Jubo League worker Zahirul Hasan who was shot dead by Jamaat-Shibir
terrorists and music director of Bangladesh Television Syed Golam Ambia.
The premier handed over cheques for the donation to them at her office here
this afternoon.
Sheikh Hasina donated Tk 10 lakh to Begum Jannatul Ferdous, wife of slain
Jubo League worker Zahirul Hasan, for maintaining her family expenditures.
She gave financial assistance of Tk 25 lakh to folk singer and music
director of Bangladesh Television Syed Golam Ambia for his cancer treatment,
while donated Tk 30 lakh to former volleyball player Upendra Narayan Paul
(Nikhil Paul) for his treatment and maintaining family expenditures.
Besides, the prime minister gave financial assistance of Tk 61 lakh to
three persons for their treatment.
