RAJSHAHI, Jan 23, 2019 (BSS)- A two-day job fair ended here today amidst
huge turning out of job-seekers both male and female.
More than 30 participants from both home and abroad set up stalls and
offered suitable jobs to prospective students from different universities and
colleges.
Country’s largest job related website bdjobs.com (www.bdjobs.com) hosted
the fair in association with Rajshahi University Carrier Club and Rajshahi
College Carrier Club at Nice Convention Center in the city.
Main objective of the fair was to create a link between the job
providers and job seekers as a whole.
Chief Commercial Manager of bdjobs.com Prokash Roy Chowdhury said 6,500
job-seekers submitted application against 102 posts. After scrutinizing the
participating establishments interviewed 1,200 candidates for providing them
job.
He viewed that need-based vocational training for the youths coming from
poor families and their post-training employment is needed for eradicating
their unemployment problem.
