All necessary steps taken to check question paper leakage in SSC exams

DHAKA, Jan 20, 2019 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said the
government has strengthened its efforts for checking question paper leakage
during the upcoming Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent
examinations set to begin from February 2.

“Stern actions will be taken against those found involved in any
irregularities including leaking question papers during the SSC
examinations,” she told a press briefing at her ministry after a meeting of
National Monitoring Committee on the upcoming SSC and equivalent
examinations.

Deputy Minister for education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Secondary and Higher
Education Division Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain, senior officials of the
ministry and representatives of different organizations concerned, among
others, attended the meeting.

Dr Dipu said, “Last year, all public examinations were held without leaking
any question paper during the public examinations. I hope that we would be
able to hold SSC examination peacefully and stop question paper leakage
during the public examinations.”

Seeking cooperation from all to check question paper leakage, the minister
urged the guardians and examinees not to hunt for collecting leaked question
paper.

Dr Dipu said all departments concerned are sincerely working to root out
all possible sources of question paper leakage as a vested quarter are
involved with the malpractices.

She said the government has decided to shut down all coaching centres
during the SSC and equivalent examinations.

The coaching centres will remain closed for a month from January 27.

“We have taken decision to shut down all coaching centres till completion
of the SSC examinations,” she added.
