DHAKA, Jan 19, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at an international expo and summit today said that Dhaka School of Economics (DScE) would be the inventor of making new entrepreneurs in the country and it will also set up linkages between the established entrepreneurs and the new ones.

They also said that through this initiative, the country’s economy will advance further side by side peoples’ dignity and equality would be established in the society. “The government and the concerned organizations should have to come forward in this regard,” the speakers added.

They said this while addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day 1st International Entrepreneurship Expo, Summit and Elevator Pitch-2019 held at the Dhaka School of Economics premises in the city’s Eskaton area. The Expo and Summit was organized by the DScE Entrepreneurship Club.

“Even the banks and the financial institutions don’t want to extend overall support to them for which effective steps should have to be taken on behalf of the government to overcome the existing challenges towards becoming new entrepreneurs,” he added.

Dr Muhammad Mahbub Ali noted that creating new entrepreneurs could be an important step in the government’s plan for generating employments adding that the DScE could play the role of a creator in generating new entrepreneurs.

“For that there is a need for building sufficient database on entrepreneurs and an ‘Entrepreneurs Day’ could be observed every year to facilitate the entrepreneurs. It is now the demand of time to set up an Entrepreneurship Ministry,” he added.
