DU forms Code of Conduct Formulation Committee for DUCSU election
DHAKA, Jan 19, 2019 (BSS) – The Dhaka University (DU) authority here today
formed a seven-member code of conduct formulation committee ahead of the
Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall union elections.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Md. Akhtaruzzaman formed the code of conduct
formulation committee with DU Pro-VC (Academic) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad as
its convener, said a DU press release.
The other members of the committee are-Dhaka University Teachers’
Association President and Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Dean
Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, Law Faculty Dean Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah, Arts
Faculty Dean Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hossain, Social Science Faculty Dean Prof
Sadeka Halim, Economics department Prof Mahbubul Mokaddem (M M Akash), and
Television, Film and Photography department Professor Dr AJM Shafiul Alam
Bhuiyan.
Earlier, a Chief Returning Officer and 5 returning officers were appointed
and a 15-member Advisory Council was formed for the long- awaited DUCSU and
hall union elections which have remained dysfunctional for 28 years.
