DR Congo court says will give election verdict at 1400 GMT
KINSHASA, Jan 19, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – DR Congo’s top court said it will give
its verdict at 1400 GMT Saturday on the final election results which have
been challenged both internationally and at home.
“It will take place today at 3:00pm (local time),” a Constitutional Court
spokesman, Baudouin Mwehu, told AFP.
The December 30 vote to choose a successor to long-serving President Joseph
Kabila is mired in controversy with runner-up Martin Fayulu claiming he was
cheated of victory.
