Farmer killed in Habiganj road accident
HABIGANJ, Jan 15, 2018 (BSS) – A farmer was killed and nine others were
injured as a microbus collided head-on with a jeep in Ratna Bazar area under
Baniachong upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Goni, 45, son of Shaban Ullah, a
resident of Tarasoi village of the upazila.
Police said the accident occurred on the Habiganj-Baniachong when the two
vehicles collided head-on, leaving 10 micro passengers injured.
Goni died on the way to the Zila sadar hospital. Among the injured three
others were sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical
condition.
Officer-in-charge of Baniachong police station M Mojammel Haque confirmed
the matter.
