BRAHMANBARIA, Jan 15, 2019 (BSS) – Five people were killed and three others injured as a microbus carrying a bridal party plunged into a roadside ditch at Bijoynagar upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Hassan Jamal, 32, Opu, 30, his wife Jhumur, 25, Rajin Salehin Liton, 28 and Parosh, 25. All of them were the residents of Dhaka metropolitan city.
Highway police said the accident took place around 2: 30 pm in Birpasha area on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway as the driver of the microbus lost his control over steering wheels, leaving five people dead on the spot and injuring three others.
The injured people were admitted to Madhobpur Upazila Health Complex.
