DU holds seminar on “State access vs. Public Goods”
DHAKA, Jan 13, 2019 (BSS) – A seminar on “State Access versus Public Goods”
was held at Dhaka University (DU) today, said a DU press release.
Centre for Advanced Research in Arts and Social Sciences (CARASS) organised
the seminar at Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of Social Science Building
on the campus.
Arild Engelsen Ruud, professor of Culture Studies and Oriental Language at
Oslo University, Norway presented an article at the seminar. Dhaka University
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Dr. Nasreen Ahmad addressed the programme as
the chief guest.
Dean of social science faculty Dr. Sadeka Halim conducted the programme
while DU Sociology department professor Dr. Monirul Islam, Economics
department professor Dr. Muhammad Sahadat Hossain Siddique also spoke at the
function.
