DHAKA, Jan 12, 2019 (BSS) – The annual sports competition of Dhaka University Amar Ekushey Hall was held today at the central playground of the university.
Humayun Kabir, a third-year student of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, became champion and Md. Saiful Islam Rasel, a masters student of the Department of Soil, Water and Environment became runner-up respectively in the competition.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Akhtaruzzaman distributed prizes among the winners in the afternoon as the chief guest. Earlier, DU Treasurer Prof Kamal Uddin inaugurated the function in the morning.
Provost of Ekushey Hall Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Islam, Advisor and Director of Physical Education Centre Prof. Dr. M Ziaul Hoque Mamun, President of Athletics Committee Prof. Dr. Md. Nizamul Hoque Bhuiyan, house tutors, students of the hall and officials were also present on this occasion.
