Four killed in Rangpur road accidents

RANGPUR, Jan 12, 2019 (BSS) – Four people were killed in three separate
road accidents in different places in Thakurgaon and Panchagarh districts
today, police said.

In Thakurgaon, a minor boy was killed on the spot after a microbus hit
him while he was crossing the Ranisonkoil-Baliadangi regional road at
Chandanchahot point under Ranisonkoil upazila this morning.

“The deceased was identified as Habib Ullah, 6, son of Tayeb Ali of
Chandanchahot village in Ranisonkoil upazila,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of
Ranisonkoil Thana Abdul Mannan said.

In another accident, a motorcyclist was killed when a Trolley hit his
motorcycle at Shibganj point on the Thakurgaon-Pirganj road under Sadar
upazila of Thakurgaon this noon.

“The deceased was identified as Abdul Awal, 32, son of local Awami
League leader Saikat Ali of village Gedura Munnatuli in Haripur upazila of
Thakurgaon district,” said OC of Thakurgaon Sadar Thana Ashiqur Rahman.

In Panchagarh, a truck driver and his helper were killed when their
brick-laden truck fell down into a roadside pond at Bhimpukuri appoint in
Boda upazila after one of it’s a front wheel went off the vehicle’s body
around 6:30 pm.

“The deceased were identified as truck driver Mansur Alam, 35, of
Mithapukur area in Sadar upazila and truck helper Chhatrish Chandra Barman,
38, of Bhimpukuri area in Boda upazila of Panchagarh,” said OC of Boda Thana
Abu Haider Md Ashrafuzzaman.

Three separate cases were filed in these connections with the respective
police stations.
