Orphans get blankets from Gaibandha administration
GAIBANDHA, Jan 11, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 40 inmates of Kashemul Ulum
Hafezia Madrasha and Atimkhana in Baroghat Chalkmamrozpur area under
Kholahati union of Sadar upazila got blankets from the district
administration today.
A simple function was held on the premises of the institute on Thursday
with Chairperson of the institute Alhaj Abul Kashem Sarker in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) ABM Sadiqur Rahman addressed the
function as the chief guest on behalf of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Matin.
District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer AKM Idris Ali was present at
the event as special guest while General Secretary of the institute Sarker M
Shahiduzzaman moderated the function.
Sadiqur Rahman said the district and upazila administrations had been
distributing blankets received from the government to the distressed
including orphans for few weeks to mitigate their sufferings caused by cold
wave.
Later, He handed over the blankets to 23 orphans and other inmates of the
institute.
