CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 13, 2018 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with a revolver, a pistol, a magazine and five rounds of bullet in Chapainawabganj on Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Md Moinul Islam, 38, son of late Shamsuddin Bhola of Shukrabari Chowdala village under Gomostapur upazila in the district.
Acting on secret information, a team of RAB-5 conducted a drive at Ekhlaspur village of Shibganj upazila at about 7:30 pm yesterday and arrested Moinul with the arms and ammunition.
Later, the arrestee was handed over to police.
A case was filed with Shibganj Police Station in connection with the incident.
