DU-US-DELEGATION
US team meets DU VC
DHAKA, Jan 09, 2018 (BSS) – A two-member delegation led by Executive Director of International Education of Emporia State University (USA) Dr. Mark Daly called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today at the latter’s office in the university.
Other team member was Prof. Dr. Mohammed Sajedur Rahman of the same university, a DU press release said.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs in the various fields by the University of Dhaka and the Emporia State University, USA.
Exchanging of faculty members between the two universities also came in discussion during the meeting. The team members expressed their willingness to provide training programs for DU young teachers to develop their teaching skills.
They stressed the need for conducting interdisciplinary research to achieve mutual benefits. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon, the release added.
DU treasurer Prof. Dr. Kamal Uddin and Assistant Prof. of the Department of Management Information Systems Dr. Md. Rakibul Hoque were present on this occasion.
