Shamim pledges to work for maintaining dev spree
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2019 (BSS) – Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul
Haque Shamim today expressed his firm optimism to maintain the current pace
of development for fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to turn the
country into a developing one by 2021.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has kept her trust and confidence on me and
I’ll try my best to discharge my duty with utmost honesty and integrity
focusing on maintaining the current pace of development,” he told journalists
at his secretariat office here.
Shamim, the current organising secretary of ruling Awami League, said the
water resources ministry is an important ministry and the government will
give due emphasis on this sector.
He also gave special thanks to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving
him an opportunity to serve the nation by appointing him as a deputy minister
of the government.
