Industries Ministry to pursue zero tolerance against corruption: Humayun

DHAKA, Jan 8, 2019 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today said his ministry will pursue zero tolerance policy against corruption as per the Awami League’s election manifesto.

“In the coming days, the overall activities of the industries ministry will reflect a strong position against corruption. The industries ministry will not accept corruption in any situation,” he said while speaking at a meeting at the Industries Ministry in the city.

Industries Ministry organised the meeting for welcoming the new industries minister.

To implement the election manifesto of Bangladesh Awami League, Humayun said the officials of the Industries Ministry will have to perform their duties with utmost professionalism and devotion.

Outgoing Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said Industries Ministry can contribute significantly to employment generation and poverty alleviation.

He said the unfinished projects of the Industries Ministry will be completed soon under the leadership of the new minister.

Amu hoped that there will be qualitative changes in the industrial sector in the coming days as per expectation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Among others, Secretary In-Charge of the Industries Ministry M Abdul Halim, Additional Secretary Begum Parag and senior officials of the ministry, were present at the meeting.
