Poll verdict reflects people’s confidence in Sk Hasina: Inu
DHAKA, Jan 01, 2019(BSS) – Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said that the verdict in the December 2018 election reflected the people’s confidence in the government and programs of Sheikh Hasina.
The minister was addressing an impromptu press conference at the PID press room here today.
Analyzing the reasons of BNP’s failure he said it was their negativity that spelled disaster.
“They were waiting for foreign direction and depending on conspiracy to sail to power. They did not concentrate on electioneering. Other issues were more important for them,” he said.
Inu told journalists that he apprehends that having failed at the ballot BNP would resort to subversion again.
Refuting allegations of vote rigging, he said there was no such complaint received by the returning officers.
The minister hoped the successful holding of the 11th parliamentary election would usher in a new era in the political history of the nation.
He wished journalists and the nation a happy new year that would bring peace and prosperity to the nation.
