Mashrafe visits newborn child of deceased ASI

NARAIL, Jan 1, 2019 (BSS) – Cricketer-cum politician Mashrafe Bin Mortaza last night visited to the wife and newborn child of late Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of DB Police Moniruzzaman Monir at Narail Sadar Hospital.

Mashrafe, newly elected Member of Parliament, donated Taka one lakh and assured all-out support to the deceased wife Rabeya Begum. She gave birth of a child at Narail Sadar Hospital on December 29.

“Police Super Md Jasim Uddin also donated Taka 70,000 while Deputy Commissioner of the district Taka 10,000 to Rabeya,” Mashrafe told BSS.

“Now, the lactating mother and her baby Tanisa are good,” Dr Meena Humayun Kabir said.

Monir, 40, was the son of Momin Biswas, hailed from Indra village of Bagharpara under Jashore district, having another eight-year-old daughter Tanha.

Monir died of a cardiac arrest on December 27 as he fell sick on duty at Debi Government Primary School in Lohagora upazila where Mashrafe was addressing an election rally.

Later, he was brought to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
