Anisul Islam Mahmud elected from Chattogram-5
DHAKA, Dec 31, 2018 (BSS) – Jatiya Party candidate Anisul Islam Mahmud
elected unofficially by a huge margin from Chattogram-5 constituency in the
parliamentary election held on Sunday.
Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed announced the
unofficial results of all the 140 polling stations of the constituency on
Sunday night.
Anisul Islam Mahmud got 277,909 votes with “plough” symbol while his
nearest rival Jatiya Oikyafront candidate M Ibrahim secured 44,381 votes with
“sheaf of Paddy” symbol.
