AL wins all 4 seats in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Dec 31, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) candidates today elected unofficially by a huge margin in all the four constituencies of the district in the 11th parliamentary elections.

The results of the four constituencies were announced from the control room of the Returning Officer here this evening.

According to the unofficial results, AL candidate Sheikh Helal Uddin bagged 2,53,241 votes with “boat” symbol from Bagerhat-1 while his nearest rival BNP candidate Sheikh Masud Rana secured 11,349 votes with “sheaf of Paddy” symbol.

In Bagerhat-2, AL candidate Sheikh Sarhan Naser Tanmoy secured 220,912 votes with “boat” symbol while his nearest rival BNP candidate MA Salam 4,590 votes with “sheaf of Paddy”.

AL candidate Habibun Nahan Talukder bagged 188,907 votes with “boat” from Bagerhat-3 while his nearest rival Jatiya Oikkyafront candidate Abdul Wadud Sheikh 13,408 votes with “sheaf of Paddy”.

In Bagerhat-4 constituency, AL candidate M Mozammel Hossain bagged 247,865 votes while his nearest rival Islami Andolon Bangladesh Moulana Abdul Mazid secured 2,395 with “Hand fan” symbol.
