RAB warns for stern action against troublemakers of communal harmony

THAKURGAON, Dec 28, 2018 (BSS) – Director General of Rapid Action
Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed today warns for strict action against the
troublemakers who will allegedly carry out any attack or torture on the
minority people before or after the ensuing parliament elections.

“Strict action will be taken against those who will try to foil the
communal harmony by carrying out attack or torture on the minority community
before or after the 11th parliament elections on December 30,” said the RAB
DG as the chief guest while addressing a meeting for religious harmony at
Singhpara of Jagannathpur union of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila.

The perpetrators who carry out attacks on the minority communities are
not belong to any party, said the top RAB official. They (the attackers) are
at all a criminal, he added. Exemplary punishment will be given by bringing
these criminals under the purview of law, said the RAB official.

Benazir said all the law enforcement agencies including the RAB and
Police are working jointly in order to make the elections fair and peaceful.
But the law enforcers will foil any attempt of violence or destruction
activities, he said.

Earlier, The RAB DG visited a victimized Hindu minority family and
inaugurated re-construction of house of the family.

Deputy Commissioner of Thakurgaon Dr KM Kamruzzaman, Police Super M
Moniruzzaman, Thakurgaon 50 BGB Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Tuhin
Mohammad Masud, Thakurgaon District Puja Udhjapan Parishad President
Arunangsha Datta Tito and other members of different law enforcing agencies,
among others, were attended the meeting.
