Singaporean stocks close 1.31 pct lower
SINGAPORE, Dec. 26, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) — Singaporean stocks closed lower on
Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 1.31
percent or 39.91 points to close at 3,011.15.
A total of 490.8 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 517.3
million Singapore dollars (about 377.26 million U.S. dollars). Losers
outnumbered gainers by 263 to 109.
The STI index went up 0.16 percent or 5.02 points to close at 3,051.06 on
Monday.
Singapore’s stocks trading was suspended on Tuesday due to Christmas Day
holiday.
