Army warns against fraudulence using military identity

DHAKA, Dec 26, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Army today issued a warning note against the vested fraudent clique demanding money from election candidates in lieu of providing facilities identifying themselves as army officers.

Army has been deployed from December 24 for 10 days as a striking force ahead of the 11th parliamentary elections and some frauds and opportunists are reportedly active in the field to meet their personal gains using fake military identities, read the statement released by ISPR.

In the meantime, frauds already demanded money from the election candidates in return of providing some extra facilities to them posing themselves as Lieutenant Colonel and officers with higher ranks, it said.

A few frauds have already been arrested, the statement said urging people to be cautious against such fraudulent acts and inform the police about the misdeeds immediately..
