DHAKA, Jan 5, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is hatching conspiracy to create unrest in the country saving her from being punished in the court verdict.

“Khaleda Zia wants to catch fish in troubled water as she knows she must be awarded punishment for embezzling money of orphans,” he told an Alem Olama rally organized by Bangladesh United Islamic Party at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.

Hanif, also a spokesperson of AL, said BNP wanted to hold rally at the Suhrawardy Udyan with a view to creating chaotic situation in the country.

As Jamaat could not take part in the previous parliament election, BNP plotted to thwart the election without joining it, he added.

Mentioning that court verdict canceled registration of Jamaat, Hanif said BNP and Jamaat were created being imbued with Pakistani ideology, that’s why Pakistan’s national Parliament sided with war criminals by passing a resolution over execution of war criminals.

The AL spokesperson termed BNP-Jamaat as the biggest enemy of the country saying that they work as Pakistani agent and cannot accept any progress of Bangladesh.

Hanif said the next 11th Jatiya Sangsad election will be held as per the constitution and it will not remain stopped for anybody.

He said whether any party will take part in election or not, it is its democratic right.

The AL leader urged everyone to remain alert to resist any sorts of conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat against the country.

United Islamic Party President Mawlana Ismail Hossain chaired the function while AL Publicity and Publications Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud and Sirajul Islam Molla, MP, addressed it as special guests.
