Woman, grandson found dead in N’ganj
NARAYANGANJ, Jan 4, 2018 (BSS) – An elderly woman and her grandson were
found dead in a house of an Italy-expatriate in Painadi-Madhyapara area under
Siddirganj upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Parvin Akhter, 55, caretaker of the house
and her grandson Mehedi Hasan, 9.
Being informed, police rushed to the house and recovered the decomposed
bodies from a locked room, said M Sarfuddin Ahamed, additional superintendent
of police (Zone-Ka) of Narayanganj.
Later, the bodies were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for
autopsy.
The elderly woman and her grandson, who used to live at a room of the
house, might have been strangled to death and police are looking into the
matter, he added.
Police arrested Nabi Hossain Awal, father of Mehedi, in this connection
for interrogation.
