PM accuses BNP of printing fake ballots, spreading money to win polls

DHAKA, Dec 19, 2018 (BSS)- Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today accused BNP of printing fake ballot papers and spreading money to win the polls and urged all including party leaders and activists to remain alert about its (BNP) conspiracies.

“BNP is printing fake ballot papers and spreading money to win polls. So, I would like to tell you to find out that where and which presses they are printing such false ballot papers,” she said.

The prime minister was addressing election rallies in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Brahmmanbaria and Pirojepur through videoconferencing from her Sudha Sadan residence at Dhanmondi in the capital this afternoon.

The AL president said a BNP leader from London is orchestrating plots, while his cohorts are hatching conspiracies here to win the elections through evil design.

“There is no doubt that they have an evil design to this end,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina said the BNP is also now engaged in conspiracies to put blame on the Awami League by torching their own offices and vehicles.

She said the people will have to stay alert so that they cannot unleash terrorist acts again. “The people will have to resist it and their (BNP) plots cannot be allowed to be successful,” she said.

The prime minister said the people want peace and they want to cast vote peacefully on December 30. “On the other hand, BNP wants to snatch the voting rights of the people, but their plots will not be successful if all remain careful to this end,” she said.
