Cast votes for pro-liberation forces: Menon
DHAKA, Dec 17, 2018 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon today urged the people of the country to cast their votes in favour of pro-liberation forces.
“The anti-liberation forces are conspiring with Pakistani agents to destroy the spirit of War of Liberation……They want to create unstable situation in the country to hamper development process in the country,” he told a meeting at Shahjahanpur in the city.
11 number ward unit of Awami League organized the meeting, an official release said today.
General Secretary of Dhaka City Unity (South) Shehe Alam Murad and President of City Unit of Jubo League Ismail Hossian, among others, addressed the meeting with General Secretary of Awami Jubo League Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan in the chair.
Menon said the incumbent government is working to build a non-communal and prosperous Bangladesh in line with the spirit of War of Liberation.
Terming the next general election as very crucial, he called upon the people to cast their votes for ‘Boat’ in the upcoming general election to advance the country towards economic victory.
