DHAKA, Dec 16, 2018 (BSS)-Bangladesh Awami League (AL), its front and associate organizations paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at the portrait of the Father of the Nation in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi here this morning on the occasion of the 48th Victory Day.
Leaders and activists of Dhaka north and south units of AL, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Chechhasebak League, Krishak League Jatiya Sramik League, Mohila Awami League and Jubo Mahila League placed wreaths separately at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi this morning.
On December 16 in 1971, Bangladesh was born as an independent country under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and for the supreme sacrifice of three million martyrs and the honour of two lakh mothers and sisters.
