PM mourns death of language veteran Bimal Chowdhury
DHAKA, Dec 15, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of language movement veteran and former president of Jashore district unit of Awami League Bimal Roy Chowdhury.
In a condolence message, the premier recalled Chowdhury’s outstanding contributions in the political arena, saying that his death created a vacuum in the country’s politics.
She said Chowdhury was a great politician who restlessly worked for the welfare of people until his death.
The prime minister prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Bimal Chowdhury was also president of Central Satsanga, an ashram of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra located at Himaitpur in Pabna district.
