RAJSHAHI, Dec 15, 2018 (BSS) – Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) AHM
Khairuzzaman Liton said the present government has attained significant
success in women education.
He also said the government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina has attached top priority to women education with the main
thrust of making them worthy citizens together with transforming them into
social contributor.
Liton made this observation while addressing the reunion function of
Rajshahi Mission Girls High School in the city today as chief guest.
Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, RCC Panel Mayor Tahera Khatun and Ward
Councilors Ruhul Amin, Motiur Rahman and Md Quamruzzaman and Headmaster of
the school Oloka Hembrom also spoke.
Liton said Bangladesh has achieved tremendous success in women empowerment
and development to become a model in the world.
He added that the womenfolk have proved their abilities, expertise and
efficiency in every field of our national life.
Mayor Liton urged the students of the school to acquire knowledge on
science, technology and information supplement the government efforts of
building digital Bangladesh together with serving the nation competently.
He also told the meeting that violence and repression against women could
be reduced drastically through only educating the women and making them self-
reliant.
