Islamic Foundation marks Martyred Intellectuals Day

DHAKA, Dec 14, 2018 (BSS) – The Islamic Foundation (IF) today organised
milad, doa-mahfil and recitation of the holy Quran at the national mosque
Baitul Mukarram, marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day.

The doa mahfil sought eternal peace of the martyred intellectuals’ souls
who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country, said a press release.

The foundation also sought eternal peace of the souls of Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who was the architecture of the independent Bangladesh
and martyred freedom fighters of Liberation War.

Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Ehsanul Haq Jilani conducted
the milad and munazat.

Devotees including the officials and employees of Islamic Foundation
including cultural department director Dr Mohammad Harun-ur Rashid, among
others, attended the function.
