Japanese investors urged to invest in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Rabab Fatima
today urged the Japanese investors to invest in Bangladesh highlighting the
current investment and business opportunities of the country.

The Bangladesh envoy was addressing a seminar attended by around eighty
business representatives of Nagoya -Japan’s fourth largest city and the
automobile hub, according to a message received here.

The seminar was organized by the Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo with a view
to informing the entrepreneurs of Nagoya about the business-friendly
environment prevailing in Bangladesh in collaboration with Nagoya City
Office, Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Japan External Trade
Organization (JETRO).

The seminar was supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Japan
-Bangladesh Committee for Commercial and Economic Co-operation (JBCCEC) of
the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The participants and guests at the seminar were welcomed by Mr. Takashi
Kawamura, the Mayor of the Nagoya City.

The Bangladesh ambassador presented the keynote paper highlighting the
socioeconomic development in last one decade.

This is the fifth development and investment seminar organized by the
Bangladesh Embassy in recent months, which have reached out to a large cross
section of the Japanese society, including businesses.
