DMP files 4,765 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 10, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Sunday filed
4,765 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized around Taka 37.95 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 976 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 104
for using hydraulic horn, 13 for using hotter and beckon light and 16 others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,942 cases against motorcycles and seized 126 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 39 vehicles and wrecked 763 others.
