Sheikh Hasina to begin her campaign from Gopalganj
DHAKA, Dec 10, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will begin her election campaign from Gopalganj on Wednesday through paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
AL Joint General Secretary Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak disclosed this at a press conference at the party president’s Dhanmondi political office here this afternoon.
Sheikh Hasina will leave the capital Dhaka for Tungipara of Gopalganj by road from her official Ganabhaban residence at 8am, according to a faxed message, signed by Prime Minister’s APS-I Kazi Nishat Rasul sent to Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner.
Sheikh Hasina will place wreath at the grave of Bangabandhu and joined a munajat and offering of fateha at 12.30pm on the day.
She will address a public rally at the Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Government Degree College ground at Kotalipara in the district at 2.30pm.
