CHATTOGRAM, Dec 9, 2018 (BSS)- A total of 19 candidates out of 167 has
withdrawn their candidatures on the last day of withdrawal from the upcoming
11th parliamentary polls, scheduled to be held on Dec 30.
According to returning officers office sources said nine aspirant
candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers from six constituencies in
Chattogram city while 10 others have withdrawn their candidatures from 10
constituencies of the district.
Among the 19, six candidates from BNP, two from LDP, two from JSD, two
from Islamic front Bangladesh, each from Bangladesh workers party,
Bikolphodhara Bangladesh, one from JP, one from National Awami Party, one
independent candidate have withdrawn their nomination papers today.
At present, a total of 148 candidates from different parties will contest
in 16 constituencies including Chattogram city and district in the upcoming
poll.
