AL govt doesn’t endorse any anti-Islamic law

JHALKHATI, Dec 09, 2018 (BSS) – Industries Minister Amir Hossen Amu today said the ruling Awami League (AL) government didn’t endorse any law against the Quran and the Sunnah.

After the election in 2008, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced that no act against the Quran and Sunnah will be endorsed in the parliament and the ruling AL has kept its promise, said the minister.

The minister said this as the chief guest while addressing a view-exchange meeting held at a local community center here this afternoon.

The AL government has constructed 560 model mosques in each districts and upazilas, said the minister in his address. The government always provides assistance to the religious affairs activities, he noted.

Chaired by Pourashava Mayor Liakat Ali Talukder, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by District AL President Sarder M Shah, General Secretary Advocate Khan Saifullah Ponir and District Imam President Abul Hai Nizami.
