Nasim urges EC to consider silly mistakes over cancelling candidature
DHAKA, Dec 05, 2018 (BSS)- Awami League Presidium Member and Central 14-party spokespersons Mohammad Nasim today urged the Election Commission to consider with compassion the silly mistakes over cancelation of candidature.
“I want to urge the EC to consider the silly mistakes of candidates over the cancelling their candidature as we don’t want to score goal in empty field. We want to achieve our victory by playing. But the loan defaulters should not be considered,” he said, speaking at a discussion at BMA auditorium here.
Central 14-party organized the meeting marking the inaugural function of ‘Bijoy Mancher Gan’ with its convenor Professor Dr Shahidullha Shikder in the chair.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Ganaazadi League President SK Shikder, Sammilita Sangskritik Jote President Golam Quddus and AL Leader Shahe Alam Murad, among others, addressed the discussion.
Nasim, also the health and family welfare minister, hoped that the people of the country will cast their votes to ‘Boat’, the electoral symbol of AL, again.
He said the election of the December 30 will be the election of victory of pro-liberation forces.
Bijoy Manchas will be inaugurated across the country on December 16, Nasim said.
