Sadman Shahid wins ‘The Emerging Photographer Fund 2018’ award
DHAKA, Nov 26, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh’s promising young photographer Sadman Shahid today won The Emerging Photographer Fund 2018 award by prestigious Burn Magazine making his room in a list of 11 photographers chosen from all over the globe.
Sadman, only son of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) former Managing Editor Shahriar Shahid who died on November 17, is now pursuing his higher studies in the Netherlands and was the lone Bangladeshi recipient of the honour.
Launched in December 2008, Burn is an evolving journal for emerging photographers and is curated by Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey.
Sadman earlier received a series of prestigious international awards for his mastery over photography while one of those was World Press Photo Foundation’s (WPPF) ‘Joop Swart Masterclass’.
