Journo Pulak Sarkar passes away

CHITTAGONG, Dec 29, 2017 (BSS) – Senior journalist and a member of Chittagong Press Club (CPC) Pulak Sakar died of a heart attack at Chittagong Medical College Hospital this afternoon.

He was 48, family and hospital sources said.

He left behind his wife, a daughter, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Pulak would be cremated at his native village Khalipur under Banshkhali Upazila of the district tonight.

Meanwhile, acting president of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) Ratan Kanti Devasish and General Secretary (GS) Mohammad Ali, Chittagong Press Club president Kalim Sarwar and GS Shuklal Das, CPC joint secretary Chowdhury Farid, Vice President of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Shahidul Alam, joint secretary general Tapan Chakrabarty, BFUJ executive members- Asif Siraz, Nowsher Ali Khan, vice President of Chittagong Journalists Cooperatives Housing Society Samir Kanti Barua and leaders of Chittagong Photo Journalists Association, in separate messages, expressed deep condolence at the death of CPC member Pulak.
