Govt attaches high priority over education sector: minister

Netrokona Dec 29, 2017 (BSS) – Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been putting its best and sincere efforts to spread the light of quality education elsewhere in the country.

“We have to make concerted efforts to ensure quality education for our future generation to lead the nation towards progress and prosperity as well as to ensure the sustainable development goals (SDG) of the government”, he said.

The minister was addressing as the chief guest at the reunion of ex- students of Mohanganj government pilot high school on the school ground at Mohanganj upazila here.

Chaired by Prime Minister’s private secretary -1 Sazzadul Hasan, the function was addressed, among others, by justice Obaidul Hasan, Rebeka Mumin MP, secretary of the ministry of jute and textile Foijur Rahman Chowdhory, professor of English department of Dhaka university Dr. Sayed Monjurul Islam, deputy commissioner Dr. Musfiqur Rahman and police super Joydeb Chowdhory.

Nahid said the government has been working relentlessly to develop our new generations as worthy citizens.

While addressing, he announced sanctioning taka 14 crores for construction of a six-storied academic building of the school and implementation of its other development works.
