Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi observed in Narayanganj
NARAYANGANJ, Nov 21, 2018 (BSS) – The Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi was observed
here today as part of the countrywide programme marking the birth and demise
of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) with due respect and solemnity.
In observance of the day, different religious organizations and Islamic
Foundation Narayanganj chalked out Programmes separately. On the occasion,
Narayanganj district unit of Bangladesh Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat organized a
“Jusne Juluse” rally in front of Netaiganj Baitul Izzat Jame Mosque at 10AM.
Thousands of Muslim devotees participated in the rally carrying banners and
festoons.
On this day in 570, the 12th of Rabiul Awal of the Hijri calendar, Hazrat
Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah of Saudi Arabia with divine blessings and
messages of peace for mankind. He also passed away on the same day.
Islamic foundation Narayanganj held a discussion meeting on the
significance of the Eid-e-Miladunnabi, milad, doa mahfil and hamd naat
competition among the children. ADC (general) Rezaul Bari who attended the
discussion as chief guest distributed prizes among the children.
Milad and dua mahfils were also held at Narayanganj City Corporation’s
mosque at Masdair, Darul Ulum Madrasa at Deovog and Thana Pukur Par Jame
Mosque.
