FBCCI for technical knowledge, planning to run e-commerce

DHAKA, Nov 20, 2018 (BSS) – The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has emphasized on garnering necessary technical
knowledge and proper planning to run e-commerce businesses.

The country’s apex trade body also put emphasis on tapping the huge
potentials of e-commerce sector through gaining technological knowledge side
by side the necessity of proper survey on customer and products and an
‘entrepreneur friendly E-Commerce Policy’.

These observations came from an Institutional Workshop on ‘e-Commerce and
Digital Marketing for SME’s jointly organized by FBCCI and Friedrich-Naumann
Foundation (FNF) held at a city hotel today.

Digital Marketing Consultant & CEO of Ovlea Digital & Ecommerce Md Zubayer
Arifeen, Manager (ICT)of SME Foundation Md Mostafizur Rahman, Head of
Marketing of Goopy Bagha Productions Limited Nuzhatul Kaunain, Senior
Assistant Secretaries of FBCCI Mahmudur Rahman and Shahmina Isha Mannan were
the resource persons of the two-day workshop.

Earlier on Monday, the workshop was inaugurated by FBCCI Acting Secretary
General Hussain Jamil. Country Representative of FNF Dr Najmul Hossain, among
others, was present. On completion of the two-day program, certificates were
distributed among the participants. FBCCI Directors Yousuf Ashraf and Hafez
Harun-Or-Roshid presented the certificates at the closing ceremony.

FBCCI Acting Secretary General Hussain Jamil and Secretaries of FBCCI
Afsarul Arifeen and Shah Md Abdul Khaleque were present.

Some 55 representatives from different Chambers and Association of FBCCI
attended the workshop. Participants at the workshop shared their experiences
and the obstacles that they face to run their business.

FBCCI in partnership with FNF is holding a series of programmes on
digitization, e-Commerce and Smart City.
