2 BAF training aircraft crash in Moheshkhali

DHAKA, Dec 28, 2017 (BSS) – Two training aircraft – YAK-130 – of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed in Moheshkhali island of Cox’s Bazar around 6.30 yesterday evening.

“All four pilots of the two aircraft were rescued alive and unhurt,” an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) spokesman told BSS.

ISPR Assistant Director Md Noor Islam said reason of the crash is yet to be ascertained.

The rescue operation is underway, he added.

The two aircraft took off from Jahurul Haque Air base in Chittagong at 6 pm, he said.
