Exec magistrates to monitor electoral code of conduct in Khulna
KHULNA, Nov 18, 2018 (BSS) – Executive magistrates here today started to
monitor the election code of conduct in all six Khulna constituencies ahead
of the 11th parliamentary election.
Eleven executive magistrates have been deployed to 31 wards of KCC under
Khulna 2 and 3 constituencies while nine were deployed in nine upazilas under Khulna
1, 4, 5 and 6 constituencies.
Earlier, the Election Commission (EC) appointed 20 executive magistrates
to oversee the code of conduct to six Khulna constituencies ahead of
the upcoming parliamentary election.
Returning Officer and deputy commissioner of Khulna Md Helal Hossain said
that they will be deployed till December 31, the day after the voting day,
and are directed to perform their duties until further order.
Aspirants from different political parties have been asked to remove their
posters, pana-festoons, gates and other election campaign ingredients by
Sunday (today), he said, adding otherwise they would face legal action.
