DHAKA, Nov 18, 2018 (BSS) – Posts, Telecommunications and Information
Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar today said ICT laboratories and multimedia
classrooms will be established in all the educational institutes across the
country within the next two years.
“We have to train the teachers in digital education to implement the plan.
It is necessary to acquire ICT-based knowledge to keep pace with the current
competitive world,” he said.
Jabbar came up with the observations while distributing laptops among
trainees and educational institutes at BCC Auditorium in ICT Tower at
capital’s Agargaon area.
Presided over by ICT Division Secretary Zuena Aziz, the function was
addressed by State Minister of ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak and Posts and
Telecommunications Division Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder, among others.
Urging the young trainees to turn themselves efficient by using the
laptops, Palak said the whole nation will go backward unless we make our
young generation capable.
Later, a total of 1,300 laptops and modems were distributed among
trainees.
