ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Nov 18, 2018 (BSS) – The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia will observe ‘University Day’ on November 24 on its 39th founding anniversary.
The university day is supposed to be observed on November 22 as the university started its journey on that day in 1979. But this year, November 22 is weekly holy day of the university. So the authorities have taken decision to observe the day on November 24 instead of November 22.
On the occasion, an elaborate programme has been chalked out.
The programmes include hoisting national and university flags in front of the university administration building, arranging colorful procession and discussion.
IU VC Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari told BSS today all necessary preparations had been taken for holding the programme in a peaceful atmosphere.
